Sierra Leone Links
St Mary Magdalene Catholic Primary School has established links with Beckley Primary School in Sierra Leone. In the summer term 2019, we were lucky to be able to host Emelia, a teacher from Beckley Primary, who came to visit us and find out about life in our school in Bexhill-on-Sea.
In partnership with the Hastings Sierra Leone Friendship Link and through the British Council Connecting Classrooms Project, teachers from St Mary Magdalene were fortunate to have the opportunity to visit Sierra Leone in February 2020. Our teachers were able to share good teaching practice, teach in some of the classes and forge bonds with the teachers from Sierra Leone.
